An overnight fire Dec. 30 at Kenora Forest Products in northwestern Ontario destroyed two of the mill’s drying kilns. Kenora City Fire chief, Todd Skene, told local media the kilns were fully involved, so the fire was allowed to burn itself out while other structures were protected.
There are no reports of injuries, Skene told CBC News, and damage is estimated at about $850,000.
