A $500 bursary is available to student members of the Algonquin section of the Canadian Institute of Forestry to attend the CIF Conference and AGM in Grande Prairie this September.

The CIF Algonquin Section Council has authorized the availability of a $500 bursary to assist a student or group of students to attend our national conference and AGM in Grande Prairie (September 18th to 20th, 2018). The bursary is intended to help offset some of the costs of registration, accommodation, and travel.

We invite interested students to submit a proposal letter (two-page maximum) as an expression of interest. Proposals will be evaluated by a special sub-committee of the Section Council, with the successful bursary recipient(s) being notified by mid-August.

In the event that a number of high-quality proposals are received, the Section Council may at its discretion award more than one bursary by allocating additional funds.

General Guidelines:

 Submit proposal letter to email below by Friday, July 27th, 2018

 Outline your expectations – i.e. what you hope to learn and achieve by attending

 Describe how you will ensure that you are a fully engaged and active conference participant

 Indicate if you would be willing to share what you learn at the conference with your fellow Section members, and how you might accomplish this…
