LAVAL, QUEBEC – Nortrax has announced the opening of its new state-of-the-art facility in Val-d’Or, Québec, on Highway 117 at the entrance to the city. This new flagship facility will serve the construction, mining and forestry sectors of the Abitibi region.

The 22,500 square foot building includes an 8-bay service center designed to easily accommodate John Deere’s large production equipment. It also houses a much larger parts warehouse, a product support center, a technology showroom, and can be expanded to meet future growth.

According to Nortrax Québec’s regional vice-president Jim Fodi, “Nortrax, with 12 branches across Québec, covers a large geographic area and Val-d’Or is a critical part of our footprint. We are investing significantly in Val-d’Or to better position ourselves to serve the needs of our customers in this key market. While we want to bring new products and technologies to our customers, we believe it’s important to give our employees the tools, facilities, and training they need to do the best job they can. Our excellent team, led by Bernard St-Jean, general manager of our Laurentian and Abitibi branches, lays the groundwork for future growth and success.”

“We are excited about the prospects in Val-d’Or,” said Bernard St-Jean. “Our new home will bolster our sales, service, and parts programs as we strive to provide the outstanding service our customers expect. Our entire team has been waiting with anticipation to unveil our impressive new facility to our customers and to the region.”

St-Jean added that a grand opening would be held in the early Spring of 2020. “In the meantime, we invite construction, mining, and forestry clients, as well as the general public to come and meet us in Amos”
