No new fires have occurred in northwestern Ontario as of Tuesday, according to the provinces Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services.

Except for Kenora, the Fort Frances district and areas in the far north – where there is a moderate fire hazard – the rest of the region has a low fire risk.

The fire management group said all active fires in the region are now under control.

Check out the provinces guidelines on outdoor fire management.
