Accelerated Commercialization Trial: Lignin 2.0
A first-round of small CAP proposals open from May 3, to December 31, 2021
Due to the success of our 2020 High-Performance Lignin Challenge Fund, CRIBE and Nextfor are launching a new Accelerated Commercialization Trial (ACT) funding opportunity for lignin commercialization.
We’re looking for standing or newly established consortiums that have commercial or pre-commercial ready technologies, solutions, and projects that will increase the commercial readiness of one of the following lignin-based platforms:
- Polymer Fine Chemicals;
- Resins/Adhesives;
- Thermoplastics and Composites
The purpose of this RFP is to launch a $1 million joint investment challenge (50% industry matching contribution required) to support projects which will establish or increase the commercial readiness of lignin-based platforms, and build robust consortiums through information sharing and collaboration.
To be eligible for this challenge, the proposed products and/or applications must utilize wood-based lignin.
