CLAIR, Michigan — Biewer Lumber has announced the appointment of Shannon Kita to the role of chief operating officer for all Biewer Companies. With management experience spanning nearly two decades, Kita brings valuable leadership to Biewer’s executive team, the company said in a press release.
In this newly created role, Kita will work closely on the company’s overall strategy and operation. More specifically, Kita will oversee daily operations, development of company goals for performance and growth, and improving overall business efficiencies.
Prior to this appointment, Kita was responsible for developing and leading Biewer Logistics, LLC., as well as the management, sales and distribution of sawmill residuals. Her background, prior to Biewer, was in automotive and LEAN manufacturing.
