FPAC welcomes  Kevin Edgson as new board chair

Ottawa — On behalf of the Board and staff at FPAC, President and CEO Derek Nighbor has announced the appointment of EACOM Timber Corporation’s Kevin Edgson as the new Chair of FPAC’s Board of Directors. Kevin started his career more than 30 years ago, initially in the plywood and veneer business, then entering the pulp and paper sector before focusing on solid and engineered wood products. He has worked in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec, holding roles in all facets of the business from finance and accounting to operations management, sales and marketing.

Kevin took the helm at EACOM Timber Corporation in December 2013, bringing his considerable forest industry experience to the position. His deep knowledge and commitment to sustainability and growing the workforce of tomorrow will serve FPAC well in advancing the environmental and economic potential of Canada’s forest products sector and the communities and customers we serve. Kevin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Victoria, an Executive MBA from the University of Alberta, and a Certified Management Accountant designation.
