The Crown Zone 5 Five-Year Forestry Operating Plan (2016-2020) has been released from the province’s environmental review process.

The approval was confirmed in a press release from Perry Trimper, Minister of Environment and Conservation, last week.

The project was released subject to the condition that the proponent (Forestry and Agrifoods Agency) must: maintain a 30-metre buffer around wetland areas; maintain the hydrologic function of nearby wetlands; and direct any runoff from development away from wetlands.
