On December 3, 2019, 9:00 am — 4:30 pm, Nextfor (a program of the Centre for Research & Innovation in the Bio-Economy) will be hosting a full-day facilitated workshop at 250 Yonge Street (top of the Eaton Centre) in downtown Toronto. Through collaborative and open dialogue, the Forest Innovation Workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to identify and prioritize common challenges and initiate the development of innovation-based solutions/roadmaps.

Who Should Participate?

If your organization is involved in forest management planning, forest operations or manufacturing and has an interest in exploring innovation-based solutions, this workshop is for you. By participating, you will have an opportunity to prioritize the challenges facing Ontario’s forest sector and help drive the solutions.

Take the Survey

A survey is being developed to collect initial information associated with forest sector challenges and the role of innovation and new technology in addressing common issues. The survey, which we will be circulating shortly, is open to all organizations and is not limited to those participating in the December 3, 2019 workshop. Results from the survey will be presented at the workshop before being posted on the Nextfor website (www.nextfor.ca) later this year.
