Discovery Air Fire Services Inc. (“DAFS”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Discovery Air Inc., announced today that it has signed a new agreement with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (“OMNRF”) to provide Birddog Aircraft Services and Detection Aircraft Services (including Detection Observers) in support of the OMNRF’s forest fire management requirements.

This new agreement will provide the firefighting teams in Ontario with enhanced capabilities and technology. On average, Ontario experiences more than 1,000 forest fires and 111,000 hectares burned annually and having the Birddog and detection services assists the OMNRF in achieving its fire management goals.

We are very much looking forward to the provision of services to the OMNRF throughout the next 7 years of the contract period.”
