Canfor works with many exceptional contractors across our operations as part of our day to day business. This includes forestry contractors which harvest timber for us on our tenures in BC and Alberta and undertake challenging and extremely important work for us, delivering the fibre to supply our western Canadian operations.
These companies play a vital role in our company’s success which is why I greatly value the opportunity to thank and recognize excellence in their performance with the annual Canfor Contractor Awards.
In an awards ceremony that took place May 9 in Prince George, Stephen Mackie, Senior Vice President, Operations – Canada, and I presented Canfor’s 2016 Contractor Awards to the following deserving recipients:
- Safety Award – Norm Roberts (Elko)
- Quality Award – LTN Contracting (Prince George)
- Business Leadership Award – Groot Bros. (Houston)
- Top Canadian Contractor – W&M (Fort St John)
The event was a great opportunity to meet with and personally thank some of our top contractors for their commitment and for all the great work they do for Canfor.
